NIIFF Extension 2011/2012 to be organized in 10 cities Beltar, Phidim, Inaruwa, Butwal, Dharan, Dhangadi, Hetauda, Nepalgunj, Pokhara and Besisahar.
Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival- 2012 has been scheduled to be held from 7-10 June 2012. NIIFF 2012 is dedicated to the indigenous youths who are hauling forward with the history, heritage, and philosophy created by their ancestors along with modernity and development, the indigenous youths have been marching ahead finding their own path with courage, capacity and patience by resisting the globalization in order to utilize and preserve the knowledge, skill and arts prevailing in the indigenous communities.
Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival- 2012 has been scheduled to be held from 7-10 June 2012. This year festival is centered on Pathfinders. . . Indigenous Youths. NIIFF '12 is dedicated to the indigenous youths who are hauling forward with the history, heritage, and philosophy created by their ancestors along with modernity and development, the indigenous youths have been marching ahead finding their own path with courage, capacity and patience by resisting the globalization in order to utilize and preserve the knowledge, skill and arts prevailing in the indigenous communities. The youths, have become indicator of positive change.
For the upcoming training on Direction and Production, we are calling story ideas for the production of short films.
Toronto Nepali Film Festival (TNFF) is now accepting entries for its 3rd Annul Festival to be held on March 17, 2012 at Innis Town Hall, University of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Toronto Nepali Film Festival (TNFF) is a not for profit community organization based in Toronto. The annual film festival screens films that are made in or on Nepal and Nepalis. The festival’s goal is to promote Nepali filmmaking and create a platform for intercultural dialogue between Nepali and non-Nepali filmmakers. All films screened at the Festival will be paid an honorarium.
TAC Festival 2012 takes place May 8-12, 2012, in the Recital Hall at The Shedd Institute in Eugene, Oregon, USA. Send in your entry before October 15,2011. Scriptwriting Training was organized at IFA for 10 days from 19-28 June 2011 where there were 18 participants. The mentors for the training were a scriptwriter Anup Subedi and the director Nabin Subba.
Gurung film "Kripa" was screened at IFA under Regular In House Film Screening Program at IFA. The film is directed by Maotse Gurung which is 80 minutes long. This film was screened during NIIFF 2007 and awarded as second Best Film Award 2007 in the festival.
Nepal Non-Resident Federation of Indigenus Nationalities at Qatar is organizing Nepal Indigenous Film Festival -Qatar 2011 for the first time on 29 July 2011 at DOHA CINEMA from 8am - 7pm. Six indigenous Films from Nepal will be screened during the festival.
Limbu film "Chesung" was screened on 18 July, Monday at IFA resource and learning center.

7 Days Script Writing Workshop for Innovative Writers At IFA from 4th July 2011 (Monday) – 10th July 2011(Sunday).
The conference held on 21 April 2011, helped to formulate the Kathmandu Declartion of Indigenous Women.
Red Carpet/ Closing Night held at Gokarna Resort on 25/04/2011. The night celebrated the presence of various national and international filmmakers, jury members, press and media and other guests. About 150 people were present to cheer the winners.

Activities schedule for Nepal International Film Festival (NIIF) 2011 from April 21-25.
The fifth edition of NIIFF 2011 (Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival) is being organized by the Indigenous Film Archive (IFA) in Kathmandu from April 22 to 25. IFA was established in November 2006 to provide a forum for indigenous as well as non-indigenous peoples/nationalities to research, document, interact, develop, promote and disseminate information on indigenous cultures, traditions, languages, issues, knowledge and wisdom through the visual medium.
59 films from 19 countries were entered for Nepal International Film Festival 2011. Most of the films were from Canada. Among the entries, 34 films from 16 countries have been selected for Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival 2011.
Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival 2011 was organized in Dang by Prachin Sirjansil Adibasi Samaj based in Dang. The festival lasted for two days from Feb 11-12, 2011 (Magh 28-29, 2067). The festival took place at Karmachari Milan Kendra Hall of Gorahi Muncipality, Dang and Pokhara International Indigenous Film Festival 2011 was organized in Pokhara by Gurung Films Association. The festival lasted for two days from March 11-12, 2011 (Falgun 27-28, 2067). The festival took place at City Hall of Pokhara.
Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival (NIIFF) – 2011 was organized at Dharan by Adibasi Chalchitra Prabardhan Samiti (organization based in Dharan). The festival lasted for 2 days – 29-30 Jan, 2011 (Magh 15-16, 2067) and took place at City Hall, Dharan. Adibasi Chalchitra Prabardhan Samiti had been organizing NIIFF Extension at Dharan for 3 years continuously.
Nepal International Indigenous Film Festival – 2011 was organized at Butwal by Forum of Indigenous Awakening. The festival lasted for 3 days – 13-15 Jan, 2011 (Poush 29,30 and Magh 1, 2067) and took place at Rupendehi Commerce Association's Conference Hall.
NIIFF Extension at Phidim
Tamang Film Festival was organized in Hetauda on 17 – 18 December, 2010 (2 & 3 Poush, 2067). The festival held at Palpasa Conference Hall at Hetauda, Makwanpur. Films like Pong, Hyulla Maya, Hyangla, Sweat Drenched Land, Dorjela Nang and Godewa were screened during these two days festival. The festival was organized by Tamang Film Association in collaboration with Indigenous Film Archive (IFA) and Embassy of Denmark. It was also supported by Man Dhoj Lama Memorial Academy Nepal, Nepal Tamang Ghedung- Makwanpur.
Gurung Film Festival 2010 kicked off on 19th November 2010 at Besisahar- Lamjung. The festival lasted for two days.
